Love INC is a non-profit, Christian organization that helps churches help people. Part of Love INC National, our Lorain County affiliate has been active for more than 30 years. It's a great place to live out your faith on a day-to-day basis through serving God and loving people. We are currently looking to fill two positions within our ministry. Both positions are part-time and would be perfect for individuals excited to work in a caring, collaborative environment with a small team of committed staff members. Finance Manager

Job Title:        Office Administrator Love INC of Lorain County
Reports To:      Executive Director, Love INC of Lorain County
Status/Type:     Part-Time/At-Will
Office Location: Elyria, OH

Love INC of Lorain County is looking to fill a Finance Manager position: part-time (up to 15 hours a week), with scheduling flexibility. 

The Finance Manager is responsible to promote the financial health of the organization for success and growth while ensuring prudent and legal financial practices. Duties include financial planning so that liabilities are paid, financial documents are tax-compliant, and the Board and key staff have access to financial reports to inform their work and decisions. 

TYPICAL TASKS INCLUDE: 

  • Oversee and perform basic accounting procedures including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, tax payments, receipting all in-kind and monetary donations, and financial statement preparation
  • Monitor and review all financial records and transactions, maintaining a generally accepted accounting system
  • Serve as organization's liaison with auditors
  • Assist with creation of grant budgets and provide reports as needed
  • Assist with new-hire processing and forms
  • Prepare all 1099s, W2s; file all 1096 and W3 forms in conjunction with payroll service
  • Other duties as assigned by Executive Director

A CANDIDATE THAT WOULD FIT WELL ON OUR TEAM:  

  • Has a professional demeanor and is comfortable working with internal team as well as donors, Board of Directors, vendors, and financial entities
  • Has a working knowledge of Quickbooks Online, Excel, and databases
  • Is highly organized and completes work with efficiency and great attention to detail
  • Maintains financial integrity and confidentiality of all financial information
  • Has an awareness of nonprofit accounting best practices

Office Administrator

Job Title:        Office Administrator Love INC of Lorain County
Reports To:      Executive Director, Love INC of Lorain County
Status/Type:     Part-Time/At-Will
Office Location: Elyria, OH

Love INC of Lorain County is looking to fill an Office Administrator position: part-time (20 hours a week), Mondays-Thursdays, with some scheduling flexibility between the hours of 9am and 3pm. 

The Office Administrator supports the organization and staff with a variety of project and administrative tasks.

TYPICAL TASKS INCLUDE: 

  • Assist other staff with events, programs, calendars, data entry, hospitality and materials production
  • Lead administrative support and project management for meetings and events, and serve as the main coordinator of annual fundraising dinner / events
  • Provide administrative support on external communications including fundraisers, mailings, mass emails, and social media
  • Engage existing volunteers for various support tasks
  • Track inventory and keep office and building supplies stocked (includes shopping in-person and online ordering)
  • Assist Board members with administrative support where appropriate
  • Manage online resources such as forms and small website updates
  • Serve as lead for facilities management including working with volunteers, contractors, landlord under the direction of the Executive Director
  • Assist with database management, technology as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Executive Director 

A CANDIDATE THAT WOULD FIT WELL ON OUR TEAM:  

  • Has a professional demeanor and is comfortable responding to requests from the community and interacting with donors, church leaders, clients, and volunteers
  • Enjoys learning and using programs and technology to complete work with efficiency; must have experience with word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, and email
  • Views support role as critical to the organization and has gifts of administration and hospitality
  • Is highly organized and completes work with efficiency and attention to detail
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Has a valid driver’s license and automobile
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift 25lbs and navigate steps
