Alia had mold issues in her apartment which caused her to get sick and be hospitalized. Unfortunately, the mold meant Alia also had to get rid of her furniture. A local church stepped up to deliver a used recliner, and when the volunteers arrived, they discovered that the carpets needed to be cleaned to continue to make the apartment healthier. They reached out to other church members to organize a group to cover the cost of a professional service to clean the carpets. Church members stayed connected with Alia, supporting her with calls, praying with her, and helping to meet additional needs. Through this relationship, they discovered Alia had a passion for work in construction/building and were able to connect Alia with a network of Christian business owners and contractors for possible employment. The support of the Church was truly a breath of fresh air for Alia!
